The Top 10 Performers In UCL So Far Ronaldo Is Not There

Neymar is currently the best performer in this season’s UEFA Champions League campaign, while Cristiano Ronaldo is not in the top 10, despite being the competition's leading goalscorer so far.
The Brazil superstar has been in excellent form since joining Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 11 goals and assisting another nine strikes in just 12 appearances for the French giants.
Four of his goals and three of his assists came in the Champions League, where PSG have won all of their first four games, scoring 17 times without conceding a single strike.
Based on his impressive stats, WhoScored have given Neymar a rating of 9.55 out of a possible 10 – better than any other player in the competition in 2017/18.
Somewhat surprisingly, Liverpool's James Milner follows in second place with a rating of 8.81, even though the 31-year-old has only featured in two of the Reds' four UCL games so far.
Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, who sits in second place on the UCL goalscoring chart this season with five strikes, completes the top three with a rating of 8.66, while Lionel Messi, with 8.64, just missed out on the podium.
Neymar's teammate Kylian Mbappe follows in fifth spot with a rating of 8.40, ahead of Sevilla's Joaquin Correa (8.31) and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne (8.28).
Real Madrid's Gareth Bale is in eighth position after receiving a rating of 8.22 for his first two group-stage appearances before missing the two clashes with Spurs through injury. Manchester City's John Stones is the highest rated defender after scoring three goals, while Tottenham right back Kieran Trippier completes the top 10 with a rating of 8.14.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo, who has netted six times already, has received a rating of 8.02, and appears in 17th spot in WhoScored's ranking.

  1. There's a huge difference between a standout performance and a tapp inn I'm not surprised that Penaldo is not there in top 10 in terms of performance.
