Maradona: Messi 'Alone' In Argentina National Team

The legendary Diego Maradona feels Lionel Messi "is alone" in the Argentina national team, despite the likes of Paulo Dybala and Sergio Aguero being in the side.
The 1986 FIFA World Cup winner believes the FC Barcelona forward has no teammates who are at his level in the Albiceleste squad – not even Juventus' Dybala, who is considered by many to be one of the best attackers in Europe.
"He's alone (for the Argentina team)," Maradona said, according to Sport.
"There's not a player on the team who understands Messi, the closest thing is Kun (Sergio Aguero).
"Paulo Dybala's a great player, but he's at another speed, on another wavelength."
Maradona also once again defended Messi's legacy when it comes to his status as one of the best players in the world.
"He doesn't need to win a World Cup to be great. He already is," he added.

  1. Maradona has spoken.....Messi doesn't have to win World Cup to be considered the best player in the world...he is already the best.....World cups are for average players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Ramos, Benzema & Bale etc just to prove themselves that they are in Messi's level.
