The 27-year-old had been linked with a possible return to the PSL, with Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns all believed to be interested.

Earlier reports in the current transfer window indicated that Jali had a R6.4 million buyout clause, but no team came forward with a concrete offer for lure him away from Oostende.

His new deal seems to suggest that he is in the coach's plans for the 2017/18 season despite making just 12 appearances the previous campaign.

Meanwhile, on the domestic front, Orlando Pirates defender Thembela Sikhakhane has joined AmaZulu while Mthokozisi Dube has returned to the Sea Robbers from his loan spell at Bloemfontein Celtic.

Makaab confirmed the two deals, but rubbished reports that goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo has moved to Chippa United.
