Orlando Pirates winger Riyaad Norodien admits to disappointing season

Riyaad Norodien admits that his debut season with Orlando Pirates has been disappointing, but is hoping for a change in fortunes next season.

“To be honest, it has been a disappointing season because I have been out with injury,” says Norodien.
“The last injury took me about three months to recover from so it has been disappointing, but with the new season coming I feel I can offer more and hope to not be injured and give the team something extra as a winger.”
The Under-23 international adds that the team is adjusting well to Kjell Jonevret’s philosophy.
“The coach’s philosophy, you can see he is coming from Europe and in Scandinavia where he has been coaching,” Norodien says. “You can see the philosophy and what he brings, the less you concede the better for the team because the one chance you get you score and you win the game.
"So for us it is important that we don’t concede and we take the first opportunity, secure the backline and then we can get the result.”

  1. Easy on a point that you want to prove to the Ghost that you are a skillful player like Rakhale,Qalinge and them, actually you far above them because you had a proper development, use your skill and pace to penetrate oppositions, fair enough Kjell is playing you on your weakest position because you are a right winger and cutting inside is not your strongest point but still improvise on one on one's situations because thats what you did when you made Masilela to eat grass....i want to see more of that!!!

Anyway you are a good player with lot of brains, Twala can learn a lot from you.
