SuperSport Fine Mnyamane After Stamp

SuperSport United have fined their attacker, Thabo Mnyamane, after his sending off in the Nedbank Cup against KwaDukuza United earlier this week. Matsatsantsa were cruising into the second round with a 2-0 scoreline as they wound down the clock on Tuesday night, with the ABC Motsepe League side having been put to the sword thanks to goals from Mandla Masango and Aubrey Modiba.
However, the game had a bitter ending for Stuart Baxter and his technical team as Mnyamane was handed a straight red for a stamp on one of the opposition players, and now misses two vital league games against their Tshwane rivals, Mamelodi Sundowns. The Siya crew has since been informed that the Bafana Bafana international was fined internally by the club for his actions, with the fine bringing the matter to a close before they jet out to Liberia for the CAF Confederation Cup today.
SuperSport are believed to be trying to maintain high levels of integrity from their players and are therefore keeping a close eye on their on-the-field behaviour.
