Breaking News: Moroka Swallows Relegated Again To Castle League

Moroka Swallows have been relegated from the ABC Motsepe League after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Orange Vaal Professionals. In fact, this is the third successive drop for the once-famous top-flight outfit which won the MTN 8 in 2012, having previously picked up the Nedbank Cup three years earlier.
In 1965, the Birds were crowned champions of the SA Soccer League, while over the next few decades they also grabbed the BP Top 8 Cup, Mainstay Cup and Bob Save Super Bowl.
However, after dropping out of the PSL in 2014/15, the wheels started falling off which led to them finishing bottom of the National First Division a season later.
During this campaign in the third-tier, they lost 16 matches and collected a mere 24 points out of a possible 90.
The club which was formed in 1937 will now play in the SAB League.
