Cape Town City 2-2 Orlando Pirates: Norodien's late strike rescues a point for the Buccaneers

Ronald Putsche and Lebogang Manyama netted for the Citizens, while Dove Wome and Riyaad Norodien scored for Bucs as the two sides settled for a draw

Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates drew 2-2 in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) game which was played at the Cape Town Stadium in the Mother City on Saturday night.

Pirates dominated the opening stages of the game and they deservedly took the lead through their new signing Dove Wome.

Roland Putsche, the City midfielder, was the man, who levelled matters for the home side following a great move by Eric Tinkler's men.

Manyama thought he had snatched a late winner for City when he rattled the ball into the roof of the net in the 85th minute to make 2-1 to the home side.

But Riyaad Norodien had other ideas as he scored with a powerful long range shot in stoppage time and the entertaining match ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

As a result Bucs are now winless in eight league matches, while the Citizens are unbeaten in three games.
