@Orlando_Pirates-Masalesa Signs For AE Larissa

Orlando Pirates midfielder, Lehlogonolo Masalesa has joined Greek outfit AE Larissa.
The 24-year-old was not registered by the Buccaneers this season, and was ultimately released as he was not in Muhsin Ertugral's plans for the season.
The former Bidvest Wits midfielder joined Pirates back in 2012, but has now departed Mzansi for Greece and a new chapter in his career.
Msizi Gumede, Head of PR and Media at Siyavuma Sports Group, Masalesa's representatives, said, "Vieira has always had the ambition to play overseas, and for us this is the first step in that direction.
"He was unlucky not to go to Europe before he signed for Pirates, but he had a good time there and is grateful for the opportunity to play for such a big club.
"We feel like this is the first step, and if he works hard he can go to bigger heights.
"We've got a lot of faith in his ability, and he's got the right physique and football brain for Europe. There were suitors here, but overseas is where he wanted to be."

  1. Another proof that our teams are controlled behind closed doors... Why was he not used by Bucs but he is good enough to play abroad, our soccer is not developing
