Russia Nets Late Equaliser Against England

Vasili Berezutski netted in stoppage time to earn Russia a 1-1 draw with England in their opening Euro 2016 clash on Saturday evening.
The Three Lions fashioned the first chance of the after seven minutes, as Adam Lallana forced Akinfeev into fine save from close range.
Russia registered their fist effort at goal in the 17th minute, as Ignashevich met a free-kick from the right but his header sailed straight to Joe Hart.
Roy Hodgson's charges should have taken the lead in the 22nd minute when Lallana was teed up in the box, but the Liverpool man dragged his effort wide of the upright.
England started seeing more of the ball as the half went on, and Akinfeev was called into action after 30 minutes, pulling off a good save to keep out Rooney's volley from the edge of the box.
The score remained level as the sides entered the halftime break.
England squandered a glorious chance to go ahead after 50 minutes, as Raheem Sterling beat the offside and only had Akinfeev to beat, but the winger could only fire straight at the Russian  shot-stopper.
It was proving to be a busy for evening for the Russian goalkeeper, as he pulled off a superb save low save to tip Rooney's strike onto the crossbar in the the 70th minute.
However, England took the lead three minutes later when Eric Dier curled home a sublime free-kick from the edge of the box, 1-0.
Russia pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages and were rewarded in stoppage time when Vasili Berezutski tapped home from close range, after getting on the end of Berezutski knockdown.
