Revealed: Modric Spoiled Ramos Penalty From Bench

It has been revealed that Real Madrid star Luka Modric was the man behind Sergio Ramos' penalty miss in the 2016 European Championship on Tuesday night.
With the scores tied at 1-1 in the second half, Spain were awarded a penalty after David Silva appeared to be clipped from behind in the box.
Before Ramos took the kick, Croatia captain Darijo Srna was seen communicating with someone in his team's dugout, and it has now been revealed that the skipper was getting instructions from the Spaniard's club teammate Modric, who did not play due to an injury, to give to goalkeeper Danijel Subasic.
The shot-stopper has confirmed that the Los Blancos star had passed on a message through Srna, who told him which way Ramos was likely to strike the ball.
"Penalties are a lottery," Subasic said in a post-match press conference.
"The guy from Czech Republic Tomas Necid (in the previous game) smashed the ball well; this time I waited a little and made good a save.
"Luka Modric sent a message through Srna to wait for Ramos and that he will shoot to my right side. And that's what happened."
