Official: Eric Tinkler Named a new Aces Coach

As predicted by the Siya crew, former Orlando Pirates head coach, Eric Tinkler, has been appointed as the man who will lead Mpumalanga Black Aces into the new season.
The crew reported earlier this week that the 45-year-old had had discussions with Aces’ new owner, John Comitis, regarding his taking the position vacated by Muhsin Ertugral, and that he was now the favourite for the job in Cape Town.
Ertugral recently left Aces to replace Tinkler at Pirates, with the Buccaneers opting to bring in a fresh face at the helm for the 2016/17 campaign as they look to put a trophyless season behind them.
The news was confirmed in a press release, with a statement saying, "It is seldom that you find a South African Head Coach that has played at the highest level of Football in the EPL and in the Serie A League. But to add to that the has the highest level of qualification - UEFA Pro License. We have committed ourselves to a 3 year contract and we are positive that his experience coupled with his knowledge will assist us to build this Club from the ground up."
Comitis recently bought Aces from Mario and George Morfou, and has since confirmed that he will be relocating them to the Mother City as well as changing the name.
