Ertugral To keep Gabuza At Bucs?

The Bafana Bafana striker is one of the players whose futures have been in doubt at the Soweto giants, as he is in the last few days of his contract with the side.

Gabuza’s contract with Bucs will be expiring next week and in his interview in issue 978 of Soccer Laduma, the 28-year-old Ladysmith-born player confirmed the news regarding his contract situation at Bucs.

“No comment on the upcoming season because my contract is expiring at the end of June...,” said Gabuza.

Asked to explain further regarding his future, Gabuza replied, “I’m still waiting on (Orlando) Pirates…” He went on to explain that he is not worried about the situation, “No, no! The chairman has treated me so well since I got here from Golden Arrows and I’m very happy. That’s why I’m not worried. I’m just waiting for him. But, having said that, you can never know what the future holds. But I still have a contract with Pirates.”

Sources have indicated that Bucs’ new coach, Muhsin Ertugral, might be keen to have the bulky striker in his squad for the upcoming season.

Gabuza played under Ertugral at Arrows, before his move to Pirates in 2013, and the Turkish coach rated the striker highly during his stint with Abafana Bes’thende.
