Sunderland Stay Up As Newcastle, Norwich relegated

Sunderland 3-0 Everton
Sunderland doomed their northern rivals Newcastle United to relegation on Wednesday as they trounced Everton 3-0.
The Black Cats were out in the lead in the 38th minute as Patrick van Aanholt hit the back of the net.
The result was quickly secured around the half-time break as Lamine Kone scored a brace for the hosts, producing his first in the 42nd minute before adding another 10 minutes into the second half.
The three points saw Sunderland move four clear of the Magpies who are 18th in the standings, while the win also secured the Black Cats' survival.
Norwich City 4-2 Watford
Norwich put in a determined performance at Carrow Road to beat Watford, but it was not enough to save them from the drop.
The visitors were out of the blocks in a flash as they took the lead through Troy Deeney (11'), but four minutes later the score was level as Nathan Redmond netted for the Canaries.
Dieumerci Mbokani (18') and an own goal from Craig Cathcart (og 37') saw Norwich take a 3-1 lead before Odion Ighalo pulled one back for Watford in the 51st minute.
The potential comeback was averted as Mbokani extended the hosts' lead in the 57th minute.
