MSN Break All-Time Goals Record

FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar have broken an incredible world record this season.

The South American trio netted 131 goals between them in all competitions this campaign, nine more than their previous best in 2014/15.

Last season, they set a new world record with 122 goals in all competitions between them, despite Suarez missing the first two months of the campaign due to a FIFA ban.

In 2015/16, Suarez netted 59 times, Messi scored 41 goals and Neymar struck his 31st strike in the Copa del Rey final, which means, overall, "MSN" were responsible for 131 of Barcelona's 177 goals this season.

During the previous campaign, Messi finished as the club's top scorer with 58 strikes, while Neymar and Suarez followed with 39 and 25 respectively.

Considering that the Argentine was injured for about two months in October and November, there could even be a new record on the cards if the trio carry their form into the coming season.

The previous all-time record of 118 goals was set by Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain in 2011/12.

Barcelona's previous best attacking trident, Messi, Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry, notched up 100 goals between them in 2008/09.
