Maluleka: Our Focus Is On Next Season Now

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, George Maluleka, has conceded defeat after a difficult campaign for the Amakhosi and admitted that his side are already preparing for next season.

The 27-year-old said that this season was a disappointment for all those in the Naturena camp and that they would have liked to be coming away with more than they have.

“This has been one of the most disappointing seasons for us as players and as a team,” he told the Siya crew. “We would have liked to do much better but things didn't work that way.”

The former SuperSport United player went on to say that a top eight finish makes the season a little easier to swallow and that he and his teammates are now focussed on improving and coming back at their best in the 2016/17 season.

“Now that we have made it to the top eight we have to focus on next season and make sure we bounce back to the Chiefs that we are known for by winning silverware for the team,” he added. “We owe it to the supporters."

Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Free State Stars in their next Absa Premiership fixture at Goble Park on Wednesday at 19:30
