Everton Sack Roberto Martinez

Steven Pienaar's struggling Premier League club Everton have confirmed the sacking of manager
Roberto Martinez.
The 42-year-old, who took over from David Moyes in 2013, had three years left on his contract but was sacked on Thursday following a run of poor results.
The Toffees have only won one of their past 10 games, and were particularly dismal in their last two defeats, against Leicester (3-1) and Sunderland (3-0).
Martinez had a good first season at Goodison Park, guiding the club to fifth on the log and recording 72 points in the league.
However, the downturn began in the next campaign, when Everton struggled to cope with the dual pressures of Premier League and European football, and the club finished in a disappointing 11th position with 47 points.
The downfall has continued this season – Everton are currently 12th, with just 44 points from 37 matches.
Former Bafana Bafana captain Steven Pienaar, who has struggled for game time under Martinez this season, made 42 appearances overall under the Spanish tactician.
