Congratulations Mamelodi Sundowns!

Mamelodi Sundowns have secured South Africa's 2015/16 Absa Premiership title, with two rounds of matches remaining this season, after a 3-0 win over city rivals University of Pretoria in an electrifying Tshwane Derby clash at Tuks Stadium in Pretoria on Wednesday night.

The Brazilians came into this tie needing only one point following Bidvest Wits' 2-2 pulsating draw on Tuesday evening, which they wrapped up in style after their morale boosting 3-1 thrashing of Kaizer Chiefs this past weekend.

Pitso Mosimane has continued to rewrite the club's history books by claiming his fourth trophy in three seasons at the Chloorkop outfit. In his first full season in 2013/14, 'Jingles' won the club's sixth league title in the current PSL era since their back-to-back league titles in 2005/06 and 2006/07.

After an early dry 2014/15 season where they were knocked out of both the Telkom Knockout and MTN8 trophies, Masandawana capped off the year with silverware in the form of the Nedbank Cup after their 4-3 penalty shoot-out win over Ajax Cape Town. Despite a slow showing to the start of the current campaign, the Brazilians will have something to show for in their trophy cabinet when the year ends after their Telkom Knockout Cup triumph earlier on this season.
