Chippa united Had Pirates Chasing shadows

Chippa United seem to be having a much better time of things this season compared to last year, when they were left fighting to remain in the PSL at this point of that campaign.

The result on Wednesday night strengthened their bid for a top eight finish after they outplayed Orlando Pirates to secure a 2-0 victory.

"The team is performing well and we are proud of the boys," Pam Buwa, a Chippa United fan, said.

"Some of the Pirates fans admitted that we gave them a run for their money, and the result proved it."

Chippa are now sixth on the log, two points ahead of the Buccaneers. If the team manages to remain in that spot, they will be looking forward to taking part in the MTN8 next season.

"As the supporters of Chippa, we would want our team to bring us silverware," Buwa added.

"A chance in the MTN8 will be a challenge for us, but we can win it!"

With the club seemingly moving up the ladder each season, it will be interesting to see what they will offer their supporters in 2016/17.

"Top four is our aim for next season, we might even take the league," Buwa continued.

"There are no small teams anymore."
