AmaTuks On Brink Of Relegation After Draw

University of Pretoria's chances of survival took a blow on Wednesday as they drew 2-2 with Polokwane City in the Absa Premiership.

Rise and Shine were off to a strong start as they took the lead after only seven minutes. Sipho Jembula unleashed a shot from outside the box and found a deflection which helped the ball past Coetsee.

However, 10 minutes later the scores were level once again. Khethukuthula Zwane shot from a tight angle to beat Chigova and make it 1-1.

Sammy Seabi went close shortly thereafter as he headed an effort just over the bar from a Randy Ngobe corner kick.

The sides remained level at 1-1 until the half-time break.

In the 69th minute the visitors took the lead for the first time. Vuyisile Ntombayithethi rose high to connect with Mnyamane's corner and direct the ball into the back of the net.

Only four minutes later the game was all square yet again. Thobani Mncwango took advantage of AmaTuks' weak defending and slotted the ball home for 2-2.

AmaTuks could not find the winning goal, leaving them bottom of the table with one game left to play.
