Messi Better Than Ronaldo In El Clasico Since CR7 Joined Real

FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been superior to Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo in El Clasico fixtures since the Portuguese joined Los Blancos.

Ronaldo left Manchester United for Real in a record transfer deal in 2009, having scored 118 goals in 291 matches for the Red Devils.

Since joining the Santiago Bernabeu club, the 31-year-old has featured in 24 El Clasicos, finding the net 15 times and providing just two assists.

Messi has played the same number of games against Barca's rivals since Ronaldo moved to Real, scoring on 15 occasions and assisting a further 10 strikes.

This means the Argentine has had a hand in 25 El Clasico goals, while the Portuguese has contributed to 17 strikes, according to MessiStats on Twitter.
