Motaung Jnr Steps Into New Chiefs Role

The former Amakhosi striker hung up his boots in 2014 and following that, there was speculation that he would follow in his father’s footsteps and become involved in the business side of affairs at the club.

Last year the Siya crew broke the news that Motaung Jnr was in line to take over the role of CEO of the club, however there was no rush from the club to hand him the position.

Siya sources have now indicated that Motaung Jnr appears to have started in his new role, albeit in a minor capacity for the time being.

It is understood that the 34-year-old has already begun meetings with senior and junior coaches at the club in order to gain a perspective of the situation and to make plans to move the club forward.

Motaung Jnr has been finishing his studies and it was thought that he would take the role of CEO once they are complete, a time which appears to be drawing nearer.
