Eric Tinkler insists he won't quit Orlando Pirates

Speaking to the press at the OR International Airport, the 45-year-old mentor revealed that he has no intentions to quit the Buccaneers despite calls for him to resign.

“It is false (that he could be joining Maritzburg United), they don’t know what they are talking about,” Tinkler told the media.

“I have never been a quitter in my life. I am currently head coach of Orlando Pirates and that is where I will remain," he added.

Tinkler guided the Sea Robbers to their first ever Caf Confederation Cup final in his first full season as a head coach.

However, fans and some former players have urged the Roodepoort-born coach to quit before being fired by club chairman Dr Irvin Khoza.
