Laughing stock of Africa Bafana Bafana rank number 75 in the world.

South African senior national team, Bafana Bafana, have dropped two places to 75th in the latest Fifa rankings released by the football’s governing body on Thursday.

Shakes Mashaba’s charges have been on a steady decline over the last six months following their unimpressive run of form.

In May, Bafana were ranked 59th in the world rankings, and things were looking promising for them until they drew 0-0 with Gambia in June this year.

Bafana went on to lose 3-1 to lowly-ranked Mauritania away from home in September and that didn’t help their cause despite beating Senegal in an international friendly a few days later.

The 1996 Africa Cup of Nations champions are ranked 18th on the continent.

Bafana have a good chance to redeem themselves when they face Angola in a two-legged 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier tie on November 13 and 17, 2015.

The 2010 Fifa World Cup hosts had not lost to Angola until recently when a second string Bafana side were hammered 3-1 in the 2016 Chan qualifier clash at Rand Stadium.
