Neymar On Target As Barca Beat Man Utd

Brazilian superstar Neymar scored as FC Barcelona beat Manchester United 1-0 in the International Champions Cup on Thursday morning.
Jose Mourinho's side had the first chance of the match when, in the third minute, Marcus Rashford broke down the left wing with blistering pace to set up new signing Romelu Lukaku with a low cross.
The Belgian was unable to convert the early chance, but United's intent set a standard for the first half. Despite the match being a pre-season fixture, both sides meant business. Three minutes later, it was Neymar who looked to create something for Barca, finding Lionel Messi outside the United box, but his shot was not powerful enough to trouble David de Gea.
A minute later, Luis Suarez had his save kept out by the Spaniard, and this time the shot-stopper was forced to tip the striker’s effort wide of the post. Messi came close again for the Catalan giants after 12 minutes, before Paul Pogba unleashed a venomous half-volley at Barca's goal in the 15th minute, a strike Dutch keeper Jasper Cillessen was equal to.
The momentum changed as Pogba's effort gave United confidence, with Rashford again threatening the Blaugrana’s new fullback Nelson Semedo, although United were still unable to break the deadlock.
The scoreline did change in the 31st minute, however, when Messi's through-ball to Neymar split United's defence. Antonio Valencia perhaps should have dealt with the interception better, but when he lost his footing, Neymar was on hand to steer the ball into the back of the net.
Barca controlled the rest of the first half, and after the break, both sides made several changes to their line-ups, which seemed to take the sting out of the clash.
Paco Alcacer should have perhaps scored after 66 minutes, but his effort was kept out by Sergio Romero, while Rashford, Pogba and Anthony Martial looked to take advantage of the many changes made by Ernesto Valverde.
The game, however, ended just as the first half did, and it was again Paris Saint-Germain target Neymar that made the difference.
