Default
After 16 and a half years of playing in Europe, former Bafana Bafana captain, Steven Pienaar, is back in the Absa Premiership.
The 35-year-old midfielder has now finalised his future by putting pen to paper on a deal with reigning league champions, Bidvest Wits, for the 2017/18 campaign.
After being linked with numerous clubs since his exit from Sunderland at the end of last season, with 'Schillo' admitting regularly that he was keen to play in the PSL again before he hangs up his boots.
Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City were all believed to have shown an interest in bringing the veteran midfield man on board, although it was ultimately Wits that managed to win the race for his signature.

  1. There are two things I noticed about this move. Schilo wants to play for winning team, that guarantees him game time and CAF Champions league football. Personally I think he made a great decision. Wits have a good project going on right now, I also would have chosen them.
