When the international break came around, Orlando Pirates’ supporters had hoped that their new coach, Kjell Jonevret, would have extra time to get along with the Bucs players, and that he could start helping them to adjust to his own tactics.
However, this past weekend’s loss showed that there's still a lot to be done and even the relegation zone is just three points away for the cross bones. With only five points separating them from Baroka FC, who have 18 points, at the bottom of the table, anything is possible.
One might look at Bucs’ status and say that relegation is impossible for them, but truth is that this is the kind of situation that their cross-town rivals Moroka Swallows are still dealing with in their freefall through lower divisions.
Therefore, Bucs’ chairman, Irvin Khoza should look at possible solutions for the sake of club. One cannot overlook Pirates’ situation and take it lightly.
