CT City Strike Late To Sink Wasteful Chiefs

Cape Town City struck late in the second half to secure a thrilling 3-2 win over Kaizer Chiefs at the Cape Town Stadium. City broke the deadlock in the 16th minute courtesy of a strike from Aubrey Ngoma, who skipped past two players before firing past Brice Bvuma. Chiefs leveled matters in the 20th minute as Siphiwe Tshabalala found the back of the net with a superb lob from the edge of the box.

Eric Tinkler's charges restored their lead in the 34th minute as Lebogang Manyama skipped past George Maluleka before firing past Bruce Bvuma via a deflection, 2-1.

The introduction of Paez certainly helped the visitors and he was key to bringing Chiefs level in the 71st minute when he skipped past Shu-Aib Walters and teed up Joseph Molangoane for the simple tap-in, 2-2. Both sides pushed for a winning goal in the closing stages, and it was City who got the winner as Moseamedi headed home in stoppage time, 3-2.
