Tau: I Didn't Play Well In First-Half

Default
Despite picking up the Man of the Match award, Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau admitted to not having had a particularly good first half-showing in his side's 2-1 victory against Platinum Stars.

Tau picked up the individual accolade for the umpteenth times as his side extended their unbeaten run to six consecutive games and despite being pleased with the result - the left-footed attacker revealed that he didn't have a good showing in the first-half.

"It's good for the team, I think we did well as a team and this is for the team," Tau said after the game.

"We were given another opportunity to try and win, and we did that so it was important for us to come here and win and take the three points because we are doing catch-ups.

"And from the win it's good that we still stay focused and respect the league.

"Look, I don't think personally that I did well in the first half, I got a few chances that I should have scored but it's part of the game, I'm still learning though and it's part of the process and I just hope that the team and coach accept that I am still learning.
