Orlando Pirates have parted ways with goalkeeper Felipe Ovono. The Equatorial Guinea goalkeeper’s future with Bucs has been in doubt for some time, with the Siya crew now getting confirmation that he is finally on his way out of the club.
Ovono’s agent, Sipho Shaven, confirmed to the Siya crew that the player has been given his clearance.
“Felipe Ovono is now a free agent, after we received his clearance from Pirates. We’ve got his clearance with us. It was given to us this morning. I would like to thank the club, as there was no fighting with each other during the negotiations. The player is available to join any club that will be interested in his services,” said Shaven.
The 23-year-old shot-stopper was previously linked with a move to an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia.
