Mamelodi Sundowns are ranked one place higher than Kaizer Chiefs after another monumental CAF achievement, this according to FootballDatabase.com.
Following Masandawana and Chiefs’ weekend fixtures, they are now South Africa’s top two highest ranked clubs in Africa, according to the site.
The champions of the continent claimed a 1-0 victory over Congolese rivals, TP Mazembe, where they were crowned CAF Super Cup champions, adding one more continental piece of silverware to their cabinet.
Chiefs stretched their Absa Premiership winning streak to five games, after claiming a 1-0 victory over Highlands Park on Saturday, February 18.
Both sides are currently unbeaten in the Absa Premiership this year, however, Sundowns claim the bragging rights after defending their title as the undisputed champions of the African continent.
