Orlando Pirates’ Ayanda Gcaba could be facing the exit door at the Soweto giants, should his situation remain unchanged.
In issue number 1004 of Soccer Laduma, the Siya crew revealed that Pirates could look to part ways with the defender if there is no improvement in his situation at the club.
However, during the Bucs’ final Absa Premiership encounter of the year, Gcaba was included in the starting line-up when the team lost 2-1 to Bloemfontein Celtic on December, 20.
Prior to the Buccaneer’s recent fixture, the 30-year-old’s last appearance for the club was under the mentorship of former head coach, Muhsin Ertugral, in August this year, and has been struggling for game-time ever since the arrival of former Free State Stars defender, Justice Chabalala.
A Siya source has revealed that there have been talks in the Bucs’ corridors of possibly parting ways with the defender.
“There is talk about Ayanda Gcaba possibly parting ways with Orlando Pirates. If it does happen, it’s likely to be a loan deal. The name of Golden Arrows has been mentioned as a potential destination,” said the source at the time.
Now, with just days before the upcoming January transfer window period, it remains to be seen whether or not the club will look to part ways with the player, or if his last appearance was any indication of a change in his situation with the club.
