Man City Claim First Ever UCL Semi Berth

Manchester City booked their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals with a 3-2 aggregate win over PSG on Tuesday.

The sides were level 2-2 after the first leg, with City netting the two away goals in Paris.

The visitors had the first real chance of the clash in the 16th minute when Zlatan Ibrahimovic smashed a free kick past the wall only to be denied by Joe Hart who made a smart save.

Sergio Aguero caused problems for PSG and had a great opportunity to unleash a shot at goal in the 24th minute, but his strike went across goal, not troubling Trapp.

City had a gilt-edged chance to break the deadlock when Trapp brought Aguero down in the box, gifting the hosts with a clear penalty. However, Aguero failed to convert as he directed his spot-kick wide of the target.

PSG seemed to have found their away goal in the 54th minute when Ibrahimovic found Edinson Cavani who squared for Lucas to tap in, but the flag had gone up for an offside on the Uruguayan earlier in the build-up.

Hart was in fine form on the night and made another strong save just past the hour mark when he parried a dangerous bouncing ball over the bar.

The hosts netted their winning goal in the 76th minute. Quick passing between Gael Clichy, Navas and Fernando gave Kevin de Bruyne the chance to curl a finish into the bottom corner.
