'Tower' spoke to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview and, revealed that injury disrupted his move to Europe at the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
“Yeah, it was bad for me that I had that injury at a time when I had a chance to move to Europe but I just have to keep on working hard and see what happens as the season draws towards an end," the Bafana Bafana international said.
Despite the setback, Mathoho added that there is still enough time for him to follow in the footsteps of his former centre-back partner, who made the move to BK Hacken in Sweden.
“There is still time for me to move to Europe. His move really encouraged me big time,” Mathoho said to Soccer Laduma.
"It also gave me the spirit to keep on fighting knowing that with hard work anything is possible,” the 25-year-old concluded.
